Your data-driven Product Manager
“I Think Value, I Build Value, I Distribute Value”
Passionate about product development rooted in thorough research and measurable data, I am Prudence Andrew. My relentless pursuit of knowledge drives me to never cease learning, constantly seeking reliable sources to expand my expertise. Committed to honing my skills, I’ve participated in a boot camp program to learn about Product Manager and Data Analyst. Adding to my journey, I am proud to be part of the Apple Developer Academy @ UC 2023, where I delve into the innovative world of app development, and gained more experience as a Project Manager and Product Manager.
As the Project/Product Manager (PM) on my team, I had my role not only to manage my team but also to do the research, so that the application not only finished but also will be useful to the user. Therefore, I have to perfect some technical skills such as Project Management (using Scrum and Kanban Board), Quantitative and Qualitative Research (in-depth interview, questionnaire), Prioritization (Problems, Solutions, and Features), and making a PRD and user flow. On the other hand, I also enhanced my soft skills to support my role as PM such as Communication, Leadership, Problem-Solving, Negotiation, and Critical Thinking.
For the result, I (with my team), produced at least 4 iOS applications (Pathways, Unexposed, Stride, Disén.In).
With a love for staying on the cutting edge of industry trends, I am dedicated to contributing my skills and insights to the dynamic field of product development. I steadfastly believe that everything I undertake should hold value, be implementable, and be beneficial to many.
“Keep Learning, Keep Growing, Keep Moving”
Becoming a Product Manager is not an easy task. It requires having several soft and hard skills that support becoming a proficient Product Manager. Participating in a 6-month bootcamp program at RevoU has taught me a lot about how to become an effective Product Manager. Starting from the mindset of a Product Manager that not only considers user needs but also focuses on how it can be implemented and beneficial from a business perspective. This is complemented by my experience at the Apple Developer Academy, where I was able to create at least four IOS-based applications.
Working as a Market Research professional allows me to observe the current developments in the market. It involves not only identifying trends but, more importantly, interpreting what is happening in the field to draw conclusions that can ultimately be implemented into tactical steps. My experience goes beyond just my job; the research conducted during my Master of Entrepreneurial Management education has also equipped me with the skills to gather data, conduct observations, correlate with literature, and generate conclusions in the form of more tactical steps.
Currently, something more valuable than gold is data. By leveraging data, numerous insights can be derived. However, working with data requires more than just technical skills. It also demands supporting abilities such as interpreting data, organizing it, determining its sufficiency and completeness, as well as displaying and presenting the data. I have been continuously developing all these aspects. Working in the field of data involves taking on projects related to data, making me increasingly adept at working with data.
